Fee Policy

  1. Fees are due to be paid as outlined in the invoice which will be sent to you via your nominated email address.

  2. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place in the class. Enrolment will only be confirmed once registration has been paid. For Piano Safari and Rock School students - this fee will be the $50 registration and materials fee as outlined below. For all other short courses, this fee will be a 50% deposit.

  3. Fees must be paid by the due date specified on the invoice unless a payment plan has been arranged with Deborah Brennan Music.

  4. Unpaid fees will result in disenrolment from course and access to course materials will be withdrawn.

  5. For withdrawal more than 1 week prior to commencement of the course, fees paid will be refunded less a 20% administration fee                                                             

Cancellation and Missed Lessons

  1. No refund will be given for missed classes.

  2. All online courses will be recorded and any missed class can be accessed by the student in their own time.

  3. If a class is cancelled by the instructor due to illness or other reason, the missed lesson will be added on as an extra week to the end of the course or otherwise rescheduled.

  4. In the event of a course being cancelled, a full refund will be made.

  5. Courses which do not achieve enrolment targets may be postponed or cancelled, in which case fees will be fully refunded or transferred to another course.

Early Withdrawal and Late Entry

  1. For early withdrawal from an 8 Week Contemporary Keys course, fees can be refunded in full less a 20% administration charge if the student withdraws before the second lesson. From week 2 onwards no refund is offered.

  2. Piano Safari and Rock School are designed to be delivered as 38-week Courses however withdrawal from the course is permitted at any point. Refund schedule is as follows: a) Within the first two weeks of any term: The student is entitled to a full refund of term fees paid less a 20% administration charge; b) From week three until week five of any term: The student is entitled to a 50% refund of term fees paid; c) No fees will be refunded beyond week 6.

  3. Late entry to a course is permitted at any point up until and including Week 4. If a student wishes to join a course beyond this point they can enrol in a Catch-Up Primer or alternatively wait for the next intake.

Access, Equipment and Set Up

  1. For all online courses, students require access to a keyboard and a camera.

  2. For best results, a dual-camera set up is preferred with one camera side-on and one camera looking over the shoulder. More details on tech requirements will be made available upon registration.

  3. Students will also require a Google account to access Google Classroom

Course Fees

Piano SafariLesson cost is pro rata at $260 per term for a total annual investment of $1040. Registration and materials fee: $50. This one-off cost includes a welcome pack plus Repertoire Book, Sight Reading Cards & Theory Book.

         

Rock School: Lesson cost is pro rata at $280 per term for a total annual investment of $1120. Registration and materials fee: $50. This one-off cost includes a welcome pack plus Repertoire Book & Theory Book.

 - 8 Week Contemporary Keys: $240 per course

 Sickness and Covid19 Policy

  1. For Piano Safari students: please do not come to class if you are displaying any symptoms of being unwell. This includes the sniffles. Any student who arrives at class with cough and cold symptoms will be asked to leave the studio. If you are unwell, please notify the studio as soon as possible. A recording of the class will be made available for you to catch up on during the week and an online lesson will be offered as a make up.

  2. All online courses will be recorded and any missed class can be accessed by the student in their own time.
