Piano Safari

Piano Safari is a new approach to young  beginner piano tuition which Deborah Brennan Music is proud to teach exclusively. The method combines rote learning, reading, technique and improvisation. It is a holistic approach that combines eyes, ears and imagination that develops "the whole musician".

Piano Safari is a full year course taught in small groups. The focus is on developing all facets of piano playing simultaneously, encouraging students with playful engagement and joy. More information can be found at the Piano Safari website.

There are three levels in the Piano Safari series.

What is Rote Learning?

Rote learning incorporates students learning by hearing and modelling, rather than from reading the notated score. It follows the 'sound before symbol' approach and is based around pattern-based melodies.

Rote enhances creativity, concentration, confidence, technique and reading skills.
