Caught & Spark Productions
Deborah is the Creative Director at Caught & Spark Productions, an independent production company based in Adelaide, South Australia, with a vision to create engaging and quality intimate cabaret.
In 2016 she wrote, produced and performed in the debut season of A Case of You: The Music of Joni Mitchell. The show was selected as one of Australian music icon Marcia Hines’ top-10 picks of the 2016 Adelaide Fringe and debuted to a sold out premiere season.
The show since went on to appear to full houses at the Edinburgh, Melbourne and Perth Fringe Festivals whilst touring over the two years from 2016-17. During their time in Edinburgh, the trio from A Case of You were invited to perform live on the Janice Forsyth show on BBC Radio Scotland.
Deborah's first solo cabaret show, The Hummingbird Effect, is an enchanting piece which tells the unlikely true story of how a chance encounter with a stranger set in motion life changing events. The Hummingbird Effect debuted in 2018 to multiple 5-star reviews and has been performed at both the Adelaide and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals.
For her most recent work, Deborah turned to her Irish roots to create a heartfelt and poignant piece of cabaret, The Parting Glass. Debuting at the 2020 Adelaide Fringe Festival, The Parting Glass explores grief, loss and love all set to music by iconic artists including Van Morrison, Colin Hay and Sinead O'Connor.
